HEIST is a timely and urgent short film directed by two-time Academy Award® nominee and Emmy Award–winning filmmaker Rebecca Cammisa. The documentary is an on-the-streets account of federal workers challenging the Trump Administration as it implements cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid while dismantling federal agencies and purging the federal workforce. Although the administration claims its goal is 'efficiency,' it is effectively gutting our nation's essential civilian services and the regulators who stand in its way, risking a government shutdown in the process.
